Case study of Nike branding campaign

As we all know nike one of the brand that put most of the money for branding campaign , through todays i will tell you why Nike spend so much , what makes Nike to stand out and what are key points that Nike uses through out their brand campaign?



To understand it better , i want to tell the whole story of Nike .


History of Nike


This story started with Bill Bowerman , a American track and field coach who always eager to see what are the best things that his runner should wear or need to follow ? Hence, he started trying lots of brand for better and comfortable way but he didn't find anyone. Also, he tried to contact some of soes making manufacturers. This strategy failed and find nothing. So, a new character added in the story Phil knight , a 1955 track runner enrolled at Oregon and he now under the bill's team. Phil graduated at Oregon and acquired MBA from Standford University. Now he went on to write a paper that talked about how quality shoes could be made over in Japan and why they are so cheaper. Phil called a Tiger Company that manufactures shoes and become the distributor of their shoes in USA. Then Phil send pair of shoes to his old coach Bill to buy those shoes but instead of buying those shoes , Bill offered a partnership to Phil for making better shoes for runnnig. In 1964 , Bill and phil build a company called as Blue Ribbon Sports and also they order 300 pair of shoes from Japan based Tiger Shoes companies. Then they try to make these shoes better and try their new creation with Bill's running team. Then , that holds the foundation for Nike .


Marketing Strategy of Nike


Just like other marketing strategy they did the same but they change the whole face of marketing by making risky and bolder critics. They started their marketing journey with Steve Prefontaine as a Brand Ambassador and their market go boom because he is too famous sports personality on that time but unfortunately he died at the age of 24 , in 1975. Then there is lot of market loss . Then , Michael Jordan releases a new shoes through Nike. After this , Nike got the slogan " Just Do It " and started "Just Do It" campaign that blow everyone's mind. Due to this Nike became reach to top of Sports Branding Company. In that campaign most of world's famous sports personalities promote Nike .

Yeah that's how Nike at top of game by using great collaboration with famous and important sports personalities where poeple find so emotional like Ronaldo, Michael Jordon , and so many . That makes Nike famous increase their brand values with time. His campaigns are very enthusiastic , emotional and inspirational that everyone want to see and share .
